As a coffee enthusiast, discovering Drip Coffee in Skopje was a delightful experience that I feel compelled to share. I visited several times in mid-2024 during my Skopje Coffee adventure. This café offers an exceptional coffee experience that stands out in the bustling Macedonian capital.

The heart and soul of Drip Coffee is its owner and barista, who boasts an impressive 22 years of experience in the coffee industry. His expertise is evident not only in the quality of the coffee but also in the numerous accolades and accomplishments proudly displayed on the back wall. Notably, he won a prestigious barista competition in 2023, a testament to his skill and dedication to the craft. (Recent awards + years of experience = A True Mastery of craft. I could taste it in every sip.)
Coffee Selection and Quality
During my visits, I had the pleasure of sampling a variety of coffee options, including beans from Ethiopia and Brazil. The café clearly embraces the third wave specialty coffee movement, focusing on high-quality, craft coffee. (I even saw some beans from various Berlin cafes. I loved Berlin’s specialty coffee scene.) Each cup I tried, from the Iced Latte, the Cold Brew to the Cappuccino, was exceptional. The flavors were rich and nuanced, making it clear that a true coffee artisan was at work.
Atmosphere and Community
Drip Coffee is cozy, with about four seats inside and around ten seats outside, and it has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The café is situated across from a leafy, green area, providing a serene escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. Drip Coffee has cultivated a loyal following. On multiple visits, I noticed many regulars, and plenty of laughter filled conversation, which speaks volumes about the sense of community and the relationships built here.

One of the standout aspects of my experience at Drip Coffee was the personal touch provided by the owner. On my first visit, he offered numerous recommendations for things to do and places to check out in Skopje, which I greatly appreciated. This level of customer care and engagement is rare and adds to the overall charm of the café.
